Liberty Creek Stables, LLC Is a continuation of the Horse program at Camp Winchester. We offer riding lessons, trail rides, pony rides and horse training.
LCS Is owned and run by Elisabeth Seale Davis. Elisabeth has been working with people and horses all of her life.
In 1995, Elisabeth, her dad & 2 siblings worked at Camp Tejas, Giddings, TX with a horse program... providing trail rides, lessons, pony rides & playdays for the Tejas guests. In 2000, a move to a different camp forced the Seales to sell most all of the horses and equipment. But Elisabeth's love has always been with her horses. In 2005 She started teaching riding lessons and training some of her own horses and eventually built up a full fledge horse program at Camp Winchester. She took her CHA certified riding instructor for levels 1 & 2 Western & level 1 English in 2008. She has organized and instructed both intermediate and advanced mounted drill teams and is also a competitive barrel racer. Elisabeth is an knowledgeable rider and capable trainer. She uses gentle methods and gains a horse's trust and respect. She specializes in colt starting, tune ups, barrel and playday patterning and behavioral problems. She is a favorite among her students, patient with both younger and older, letting them go slow until they are confident; and can give more able students enough to keep them learning and becoming better riders every time.
